Principal's Message

Our 100th anniversary presents a wonderful opportunity to connect with the many individuals who have been part of our history and celebrate the significant role. Patna Medical College has played in our lives and communities. Our centennial year 2025 is a chance to advance our vision for how the college will continue to make a difference in the decades to come. As we look ahead, much of the dialogue about our future reflects the growing breadth of careers and interests that can be pursued in our institution, how these majors impact society today, and how they will evolve in the years to come.

Over the past 100 years, Patna Medical College has built upon its beginnings in medical education to now offering specialist and super-speciality degree courses. During the past several decades, our existing degree, diploma, and research Programmes, along with our highly skilled doctors and teachers, have served facilities worldwide.

The incoming year of 2025 marks a significant milestone as the second-largest health care facility worldwide in the history of our college. Annually 200 undergraduate, 200 postgraduate, super-speciality, and paramedic students are enrolled here, embarking on their journey into a wide variety of health professions.

We welcome your involvement as alumni and friends in the ongoing life of the Patna Medical College, now, and beyond this special year. As we celebrate our history, your support is vital in creating a bright future.

As we stand on the cusp of a historic event, we take immense pleasure in inviting each one of you, whether within India or across the globe, to join us in celebrating the Centenary of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on 24th and 25th February 2025. This milestone, which marks 100 years of unparalleled service in medical education and healthcare, is an extraordinary occasion to commemorate the legacy of our institution and reflect on the remarkable contributions made by our alumni to the medical fraternity.

Founded in 1925, PMCH has remained a cornerstone of medical excellence, recognised not only for producing some of the finest doctors but also for nurturing generations of medical professionals who have served both nationally and internationally with distinction. Our institution’s rich history is defined by its unwavering commitment to advancing medical knowledge, improving healthcare delivery, and contributing to the betterment of society.
